Q2 2024 Performance of Film & Television Apps in France: Top 5 Insights

In the second quarter of 2024, France's Film & Television app category saw varied performance among the top contenders. Data compiled by Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into user engagement, downloads, and revenue.

Disney+ maintained a strong presence, with revenue peaking at almost $1.42M in mid-April before settling to around $825K by the end of June. Downloads showed a slight decline from approximately 52K to 48K, while weekly active users fluctuated, reaching a high of over 2.5M in late April and then gradually decreasing to just above 2.1M.

Amazon Prime Video experienced a dip in revenue from nearly $500K to around $322K, with downloads starting at 61K and ending the quarter at around 56K. The app's weekly active users saw a peak at over 1.6M in late May, but this number slightly declined to just below 1.5M by the quarter's close.

For Crunchyroll, revenue showed an upward trend, starting at around $278K and climbing to $352K. Downloads peaked at 30K in late April, but saw a dip to 24K by June. Weekly active users reached their highest at over 523K in late April and experienced a minor decrease to just under 482K.

TF1+ : Streaming, TV en Direct revealed consistent revenue growth, from $128K to nearly $112K, while the app's downloads surged in late April to 86K, eventually stabilizing at around 98K. The app boasted a significant rise in weekly active users, from 660K to over 1M by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Netflix showed revenue hovering around the $100K mark throughout the quarter, with downloads ranging from 55K to nearly 62K. The app's weekly active users started strong at over 7M, peaked at 7.3M in late April, and closed the quarter at around 6.8M.
